Nissan New Seriously Sporty CUV

Nissan recently developed a new concept car designed to test the public's reaction. In the first super crossover the industry has ever seen, Nissan has brought together the best of the JUKE and the GT-R, appropriately coined the JUKE-R.

Paul Willcox, Senior VPof Sales & Marketing for Nissan in Europe, commented, "JUKE lends itself perfectly to a sports derivative and JUKE-R explores that territory...Equally at home on road and track, JUKE-R showcases two of the most exciting cars in our range and highlights the technical innovation that drives Nissan. This car will more than live up to the dynamic driving experience we engineer into all our cars."1

Still under development, a few Nissan JUKE-R concept features include:

  • 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine borrowed directly from the 530-horsepower Nissan GT-R
  • Six-speed transaxle
  • Modified GT-R RWD driveline, prop shaft and bold 20-inch, alloy-forged RAYS

To effectively reflect the JUKE-R concept's advanced power, Nissan is also taking a lot of care designing the interior and exterior. Outside, the models gains flared wheel arches, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and exclusive split rear wing. Inside, the JUKE-R features a suite of accents that look ready for the track.

Interested in learning more about the Nissan JUKE-R concept? Be sure to stay tuned. Boardwalk Nissan, located at 1 Bair Island Road, is dedicated to keeping you informed. And, remember, you're always more than welcome to come down and take a test drive a 2011 Nissan JUKE. It might not have the super-sporty R suffix, but drivers in the Redwood City area can attest...it's still a blast to drive.
